The brand Paul Picot founded in 1976 on the initiative of an Italian, Mario Boiocchi, and since 1991 is based in Le Noirmont, in the heart of the Swiss Jura.
The name "Paul Picot" is a tribute to a French watchmaker craftsman who in the eighteenth century had drawn, finished, decorated, glazed and then assembled by hand at his watch, and then signed.
This, according to Mario Boiocchi, was in fact the philosophy that was to animate the brand Paul Picot: rediscover the heritage of art and culture at the base of Swiss watchmaking tradition and produce fine mechanical timepieces, treated and refined in every detail.
